Orange & Cinnamon Overnight Oats

Overnight oats are by far, the closest example of me being even remotely organised. I see all those men and women on my social medias, meal prepping and organising everything within an inch of it’s life. Whether it be their already immaculate wardrobes to their under the kitchen sink cabinet, complete with perfectly sized, aesthetically pleasing acrylic containers. If I were to implement such a system, those containers would be collecting dust in the back of my “keep it because it’s expensive, but never use again” cupboard quicker than you could say “Marie Kondo”.

Overnight oats however was the trend train I was more than happy to step aboard. I’ll admit, it took some trial and error with trying the very subjective flavour combinations and textures before finding what I seemed to enjoy the most, but eventually I stumbled across the magic that is orange and cinnamon.

Perfect for the cooler seasons approaching, the warmth of the spice is enough to make 6am starts worth it. Actually - who and I kidding? Nothing is worth getting up at that time when the mercury has fallen through the bottom of the thermometer. Let me rephrase: warming cinnamon makes 6am starts only bearable when it’s absolutely necessary.

Should you enjoy a cosy sleep in however, these oats will certainly be a reward for having slept soundly past 9am, or perhaps even 10am in my case. I’m determined to not regret the moments I have before potential children - sleeping in when I can and enjoying slow and leisurely mornings.

Whatever the situation, these oats will keep you full, satiated and ready for whatever comes flying your way throughout the day!
